Jam's birthday
I have been neglectful of my blogging duties lately. Actually there are a lot of things I could blog about right now, but I would prefer to use this time to dedicate this post to my best friend, Jam, who turned 20 today. :)

I made it to day 30!
What started out as a pathetic attempt to use youtube to find a good and easy exercise routine turned out to be one of the best commitments I have ever done in my entire life. Believe me when I say there are a LOT of fitness videos on youtube, and I've tried a handful already. But the exercise videos I found from VibrantVegan were different. The premise is that people do crunches to desperately lose inches off their waist, but the people from VibrantVegan say that crunches aren't really effective if you don't exercise your core muscles. So the contend that an exercise routine that incorporates moves to work the whole core could yield better results. The catch is that you should commit 30 days to doing the exercise. And believe me when I say the exercises are challenging and extremely taxing.
And I just finished my 30 day workout a few days ago!
I'm proud of myself because this is probably the only time I was dedicated to a routine that long. I started out with their basic exercise routine, and it became progressively challenging every 5 days, with harder variations. But I actually skipped around two days during the whole thing, so those days didn't count.
So did I lose a lot of weight? No, but I felt myself becoming stronger. Honestly I didn't watch my diet so much, so probably that had something to do with it. But I really wouldn't count on this as the end though. I'm practically inspired to make this a year long process, with minor alterations. At least now I know I can last this long without flaking. Now that's an achievement.

the 15th chapter
This is my take on Aquino and Binay's oath taking ceremony at the Quirino grand stand. From what I know the actual rites would happen at 11:45, because at 12nn Noy will be whisked off to the wild evil yonder of Malacanang. These are basically tweets, since I can't find a better way of sharing them on my site sa blog posts per se. I couldn't find any good video of the ceremony on youtube, so let's just settle for the one I posted. Tweets are in reverse chronological order.

I agree that we are at a crucial point in history where we can begin to undo what has been so wrong with our country for the past decade or so. But of course, the eyes are still on Noy as he will try to make good on the promises of the country. Where we go from here is practically his call. Let's keep our fingers crossed then...

Harry's conclusion
I'm having goosebumps all over! I can't wait for the second part and it frustrates/excites me that July 2011 will also be the month i'll take my board exam. I just hope the movie will come after the exam...so at least i have something to celebrate. haha. After 10-ish years, Harry Potter is still at the top of my favorites list.

done with Pathology
No, not the subject but the movie.
Since I don't have anything to do for tonight because the classes I have tomorrow are actually the first meetings with my teachers, I decided to finish watching "Pathology", the med school gone wild movie starring Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli from Heroes.
From rottentomatoes.com:
"Gifted med student Ted Grey (Milo Ventimiglia, HEROES) arrives at a major Washington, D.C., as an intern, where he is met with suspicion and resentment by the tightly knit group of fellow young pathologists-in-training. Soon, though, Ted is accepted into their circle---where they each take turns committing a murder so that the others may prove their mettle by figuring out the cause of death and celebrate with drug-fueled orgies among the dead bodies in the hospital. Things change for Ted, though, when his law student fiancée, Gwen (Alyssa Milano), moves to the city and helps to scare him straight. Soon, crazed Wallace Stevens-quoting leader Jake Gallo (Michael Weston) turns on Ted, putting both Ted's and Gwen's lives in serious jeopardy."
Yeah it's full of scenes where obviously the good doctors have broken moral compasses, and I would definitely recommend this as a supplement for my Philo and RS class (haha). The story line is basically linear, with more shifts going on with their sex positions than in the plot. There's not much going on in depth. But the last medically related movie I watched was "Unrest" (which was bullshit from beginning to end), so I was pleasantly surprised at how mildly entertaining it was. Yes, the keyword is entertain, so I didn't expect my life to change after watching that. Toy Story 3, on the other hand......
